John Gregson holds a first class honours degree in Fine Art.  He  worked in the teaching profession in Nottingham and the south of England before turning to developing his own work.  Initially in Sussex, but since 1998  in the beautiful village of Auberterre sur Dronne in the south west of France where he and his wife Sue now lives and he has his studio.

John has had many successful exhibitions of his work thoughout the world, and his work is held in collections in Dubai, New York, Australia, Ireland, Switzerland and throughout Europe.

He was also commissioned through Tom Tempest-Radford for the P & O Shipping Company to produce a series of paintings for their Cruiseliner the "Ventura".  These paintings (The Waterside Collection) depicting various scenes from harbourside venues were up to 4 mtrs in length.

John's work often demonstrates magnificent use of contrasting light and shadow, textures, reflections, scale and unusual perspectives.

Typically work is between 1300€ and 4500€.
